Parallax Variant Editor helps merchants assign specific images to product variants on their Shopify store. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

1. Information We Collect

• Shop information such as shop domain and app installation metadata.
• Product data including product titles, variants, images, and media that you choose to manage through the app.
• Variant-to-image associations stored as metafields in your Shopify store.
• Operational logs such as save operations, timestamps, and error records.

2. How We Use Information

• To display your products and variants in the app interface for editing.
• To save variant-to-image associations as metafields in your Shopify store.
• To provide the theme extension that displays variant-specific images on your storefront.
• To provide support and troubleshoot issues you report.
• To comply with legal obligations and Shopify platform requirements.

3. Data Security

We apply technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your data. All data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections. Access to your shop data is restricted to systems required to operate the app and is authenticated through Shopify's OAuth system.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We only share data with service providers as needed to run the app (for example hosting and infrastructure providers), and only under obligations to protect the data. All variant-to-image associations are stored directly in your Shopify store as metafields, which you control.

5. Data Retention

We keep minimal operational data only for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you uninstall the app, we delete our records according to our internal retention procedures. Note that variant metafields stored in your Shopify store remain in your store after uninstallation and can be managed through your Shopify admin.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, update, or delete personal information. Shopify merchants can also use Shopify privacy and data-request workflows where applicable.
